Polyglycerol is a polymer composed of multiple glycerol units. At room temperature, its physical state can vary from viscous liquid to waxy solids, depending on the degree of polymerization. Polyglycerol has hydrophilic properties due to the presence of multiple hydroxyl groups. It is soluble in water and some polar solvents. It is widely used in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, and also used in the production of surfactants, resins, and lubricants
